SHOOTERS OF THE TEAM CZ SHOOTING EXCELLED IN MALAYSIA
The shooters of the Ceska zbrojovka were the stars of continental championship of AustralAsia region in the practical pistol shooting in Malaysia’s Johor Bahru, particularly named must be Martin Kameníček, Ljubiša Momčilovič and Andrej Hrnčiarik, who won in their divisions.
The competition in this championship was stupendous. The main match was occupied with 510 shooters from 25 countries. In addition the shooting took place in sweltering heat. But even in such extreme conditions the shooters of the Team CZ Shooting achieved excellent results. And in the same manner as we have recently seen in Argentina at the championship of Latin America our shooters in Malaysia’s Johor Bahru were again in the limelight. The shooters could traditionally rely on handguns which “drove” without a single fault.
Martin Kameníček also in this championship confirmed his outstanding condition and was victorious in the Open Division. Likewise the Production Division was dominated by shooters from arms factory located in Uherský Brod. The match has been won by Ljubiša Momčilovič from Serbia, followed by Miroslav Zapletal and Australian Angus Hobdell. And last but not least – the highest place in Junior Production Division saw our winner Mr. Andrej Hrnčiarik.
The members of the Team CZ Shooting performed excellently also in the exhibition finals of the top 8 shooters from each division, in the so-called Shoot-Off (shooter against shooter). The largest interest concentrated on the Production Division finals, where the Team CZ Shooting had the overall winner of the Production Division Mr. Momčilovič followed by Hobdell, Zapletal and Hrnčiarik as Junior. All but one of these shooters were using the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistols. The Shoot Off final was won by Angus Hobdell over Ljubiša Momčilovič in the rate of 2:1.
